Art and Murf - local dealer has a 1 year old L4330 GST with R4s and Kubota FEL. It has 185 hours. Likely a hunt club lease. He wants 17K. Would you jump?

Would it be gentle enough on the lawn?

I don't know what your local market is like, but around here that unit would be around the US$25,000 mark.

In fact a dealer not far from here has a low hour L4610 for sale, one of the sales rep.'s called me to see if I was interested in it since it's a GST.

It sounds like a good deal, just be very sure of why they're getting rid of it....

The R4's aren't too bad on turf if you keep in mind what you're doing, keep it in 2WD and keep the corners wide. I haven't had any damage unless it's really soft, wet, or I get to ambitious with a load on the FEL at once.

Best of luck. ....

The full waranty is till may and then another year on the power train, so it was sold in May 2004. It looks similar to the Hagarsville tractor. I am not sure the rear PTO has been used.
I forgot to ask where it was, but he normally leases one or two to the hunting clubs and they are returned about this time.
There is almost zero wear on the tires so it has not seen pavement. ....

That seems like a very good price. One service I wish I would had done originally is installtion of rear hydraulic controls when our L4310 was still at the (Massey) dealer.

We have ag tires and no lawn to speak of. I'm sure the R-4 tires would "float" better. ....

Dave, r-1's dig the best when in softer soil and clean better, where R-4's float more and don't clean as well. On a lawn indusrials often are good enough floation to not stress the turf where ag tires often will. ....

I am not sure it is still there. I did not buy it. It was at Columbus Tractor in Columbus MS. You can give them a call on Monday. I have no hesitation recommending them. ....
